25th Anniversary of the Olivera DigitALL

On February 27, 2025, as part of the celebration of Olivera’s 25th anniversary, a participatory event was held, primarily aimed at professionals from the education sector, with the goal of fostering community, inclusion and learning in the Marianao neighborhood.

The event, organized by Coboi Lab and the Education Department of the Sant Boi de Llobregat City Council, was structured into different blocks: an initial presentation of the new Olivera DigitALL project, participatory dynamics to identify needs and gather proposals, and co-creation and debate spaces led by experts. These activities aimed to create an atmosphere of trust and active listening to encourage engagement and the collaborative development of concrete proposals.

The main purpose was to reimagine the Olivera as an educational and inclusive community-based space, capable of addressing the digital divide by offering personalised learning services, fostering digital skills, and experimenting with technologies such as artificial intelligence for the common good.

The event brought together representatives from the quadruple helix of digital social innovation, with strong involvement from professionals in various public and social institutions. The session focused on five key objectives:

1. Celebrate the beginning of a new era for the Olivera DigitALL.

2. Share the project’s vision and recent progress.

3. Coreflect and collectively review strategic proposals.

4. Strengthen the collaboration network between participating actors.

5. Raise institutional and community awareness about the new phase.

Participation dynamics, based on active listening and cocreation, were organised into two main thematic groups: learning and community. In addition, a feedback space was created to encourage reflection and the collective construction of solutions. Information and documentation were collected throughout the day based on participants’ contributions to inform and guide the upcoming phases of the project.

The event was made possible thanks to the joint work of the technical teams from Olivera and Coboi Lab, which acted as co-designers and co-facilitators of the session, supporting both content development and logistical and communication aspects. This collaboration allowed for the direct collection of ideas, needs, and expectations from participants -insights that will be used to shape the next steps of the project.

This event marks 25 years of the Olivera’s history as a leading space in the Marianao neighborhood, now in full transformation towards a new model adapted to current digital and social challenges.
