On October 4, 2024 , the BETA Space celebrated the inauguration ceremony of the first edition of the 2024-2025 Residencies . After months of work, which began with a day of co-creation with the youth of Sant Boi and continued with an open call, the time had come to officially present the people and projects that would transit through the space during the course.
The event had a dual purpose : on the one hand, to raise awareness of the new young community of residents; on the other, to foster relationships between residents and municipal departments. The challenge was to create a meeting that would motivate future participation and consolidate the sense of community from day one.
Coboi lab led the event and made it, above all, a networking space . The following participated:
The format combined three moments:
The resident projects reflected the diversity of the city’s young talent: an audiovisual production company like The Coffee Lab , a podcast about Sant Boi like Las Nenas del Sofá , the theater company Incesables , new training programs from the DID Association , a creative agency for local commerce, music and event projects, a holistic space to reconnect with the pleasure of living and individual trajectories of strategic business analysis.
As a result , the event made visible the community of residents who would share the course in the BETA Space and led to the first connections between residents and municipal agents . These relationships are the basis of what the residence should be: not just a place to work, but an environment in which to grow with others. This first contact soon bore fruit: at the end of October, a resident organized a meditation session for the rest, and in November The Coffee Lab and the company Incesables began filming a commercial together in the BETA Space.
From here, Coboi lab’s commitment was clear: to observe how the residences evolve organically , without a rigid programming, to detect what dynamics, needs and collaborations emerge spontaneously among the young women.
