Good practices Method 4>17

Real experiences to inspire public innovation

Method 4> 17 has become established as a useful tool for innovation in the public and social spheres. This project collects testimonies from agents who have applied it in different contexts, with the aim of highlighting these experiences and generating shared learning. Through interviews, a collective story is built that inspires new applications inside and outside the administration.

[Proposed]

The project was born with the desire to make visible and value the real application of Method 4> 17 by different socio-economic agents. The aim is to generate a collection of good practices that serves both to document experiences and to inspire new uses within the City Council and other institutions.

This initiative allows:

  • Sharing applied knowledge
  • Identify patterns of success and difficulties
  • Encourage the replicability of the method
  • Generate community around public innovation

[Background]

Since its publication, Method 4> 17 has been partially or fully adopted by various teams and organizations. However, until now there was no systematized collection of these experiences.

This project responds to the need to:

  • Document real uses of the method
  • Give a voice to the agents who have applied it
  • Building a shared narrative based on practice

[Results]

The process has highlighted several key learnings:

  • The value of the interview as a qualitative knowledge tool
  • The importance of systematizing dispersed experiences
  • The use of AI tools to facilitate processes such as transcription
  • The need for accessible and attractive formats for sharing results

Furthermore, it has been shown that the method is flexible and adaptable to different contexts, which reinforces its potential.

The project has been structured in several momentums that have allowed it to move forward iteratively:

  • Conducting two rounds of interviews with multiple agents
  • Collection of testimonies from various projects
  • Editing and structuring content
  • Preparation of a final product in different formats

The final result will be a collection that combines:

  • Concrete experiences
  • Reflections from participants
  • Conclusions and shared learnings
